Carbon nanotubes and inorganic nanoparticles are structures that exhibit extraordinary physical and chemical properties. In my talk I will discuss how such materials can be synthesized, manipulated, combined, and assembled in order to give them a desired function. Furthermore, I will characterize the crystallographic and electric properties of such structures and I will present new device concepts.
